CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS 2016 AT THE IMMACULATE

Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God. The name ‘Christmas’ comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus). A Mass service (which is sometimes called Communion or Eucharist) is where Christians remember that Jesus died for us and then resurrected. Christmas being the time of giving and sharing, when the human spirit is bathed in the glow of peace, goodwill and harmony, the staff and students at THE IMMACULATE Training & Consultancy distributed hot cross buns, clothes and gifts to the poor and the needy. One of the students dressed as Santa Claus went around the streets, cheering and shaking hands with the pedestrians and passers-by.

The staff and students of THE IMMACULATE Centre commemorated the birth and life of Jesus Christ –‘The son of GOD’, by ushering in the spirit of Christmas on 22 December 2016 at their institution. Sisters from the Pentecostal Mission and Ms. Nikita (Trainer) rendered the famous Christmas carol “Sing Noel” to bring goodwill and prosperity to the institution. The students danced and sang to the tunes of “Jingle Bells” &”Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and entertained the staff with dumb charades and musical chairs.

The Christmas tree was decorated with Christmas accessories and lights, reminding one of their everlasting life with God. The nativity or the birth of Christ was elegantly portrayed by the staff and students who were dressed as Mother Mary, St.Joseph and the shepherds and gathered around the crib with the infant Jesus (doll). Prayers were said invoking the blessings of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
