Over 1500 Doctors participated in third edition of the program

Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Education Academy, the education initiative of Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialty Centre, today inaugurated the third edition of Dr. Mohan’s International Diabetes Update at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. The three-day program scheduled on 29th July, 30th July and 31st July, 2016 will be inaugurated Dr. Mullasari Ajit S, Director – Cardiology, The Madras Medical Mission, along with Dr. S. M. Sadikot, President, International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and other dignitaries from the industry.




With an aim to increase awareness and update knowledge on basic epidemics of diabetes, Dr. Mohan’s Education Academy conducts the International Diabetes Update every year. The third edition of the program witnessed the participation of 1500 doctors and 150 faculty members from all around the globe sharing their insights on diabetes and various fields of expertise. This year, the landmark event will comprise of key sessions on latest advances in diabetes management and prevention.

Speaking on the occasion,



Dr. V. Mohan, Chairman, Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Centre said, “Today diabetes is one of the biggest threats faced. The risk factors are more often associated with race, age, and family history. Dr. Mohan’s International Diabetes Update will focus on advancements, awareness and early prevention of diabetes. The various scientific sessions are well planned and designed to spread awareness on the unidentified advancements available for early detection and management. I’m confident that this academic feast will enable the participants to understand better about diabetes and learn from one another”
