The workshop aims at equipping a common man to act in a medical emergency by providing knowledge on Basic First Aid & Emergency Response. In a country like India where many a death occurs simply on the way to hospitals or awaiting medical help, knowing first aid & acting accordingly before an ambulance arrives can make the difference between life and death. We implore all citizens to attend this workshop “First for You & Your family, and then for others”
The topics to be addressed in the training session are as follows –
- Inhibitions to render assistance during an emergency
- Chain of Survival
- Basic Life Support Principles.
- ABC of basic life support
- Common Medical Emergencies – Bleeding (external and internal), Fainting, Fractures & Choking.
- CPR – Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (hands only).
This is an initiative completely driven by volunteerism, it does need the strength and the vigour and participation of people such as you to gain further momentum to bring about a change in awareness levels in being prepared to handle medical emergency situations in our society.
