GIRI’s Annual Music and Dance Festival 2019-20

With programmes designed for every kind of audience, the GIRI’s Annual Music and Dance Festival, by GIRI Fine Arts (an initiative of Lakshmi GIRI Charitable Trust) encourages all Indian Dance Forms, music (Vocal and Instrumental) and discourses in its aegis. More rasikas have started flocking the LAKSHMI GIRI CONVENTION HALL, located at the heart of Mylapore to encourage not only artists from Chennai but from other parts of Tamil Nadu, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Trichy.

During the evenings, celebrities like Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and Thiru Isai Kavi Ramanan have been spotted as part of the audience. Performers have expressed their gratitude to the GFA for conducting a festival that has promoted talent on the basis of merit.

To further its cause, the event has also encouraged 24 deserving candidates through a digital competition, organised by TIDE – a YouTube Channel, a new venture of GIRI. The dance performances were webcast in the TIDE channel and has received more than 3000 viewership from across the globe.
