Exnora Greater Chennai & Sri Kanyaka Parameswari College Eco Club distributed 500 free saplings to public as part of

 “Re-Greening Chennai 2017” Project

Exnora Greater Chennai launched “Re-Greening Chennai 2017” project in the aftermath of the destruction caused by Cyclone Vardah, which uprooted more than 1 lac trees in Greater Chennai.

 The Project was inaugurated by Justice Dr. P. Jyothimani, Judicial Member, National Green Tribunal, Southern Zone, Chennai recently at the College premises.

 As part of the Project, Exnora Greater Chennai and College Eco Club distributed 500 saplings free of cost to general public at Gandhi beach.

Throughout 2017 Exnora Greater Chennai in coordination with Forest Department and Greater Chennai Corporation has decided to procure and plant at least 12,000 tree saplings within Educational institution premises, parks and residential areas in Chennai and suburbs with the help of numerous Civic Exnoras, Resident Welfare associations and general public.
