SUGGESTIONS INVITED

SUGGESTIONS INVITED FOR STRATEGIES FOR PROMOTING FARMERS’ MARKET

Nandini Voice for The Deprived, a Chennai based NGO (nandinivoice.com) is conducting a study to identify the appropriate strategies for promoting “ease of doing business” for agriculturists in India.

The “ease of doing business” for agriculturists in India need to be promoted on a priority basis , which is a pre-condition for the growth of the Indian agricultural sector and which, in turn is the basic requirement to promote overall national economy as well as happiness index in the country.

While the government of India is taking positive measures to introduce modern technology and management practices in the agricultural sector to boost its growth and productivity, some strategies must be worked out urgently to improve the income of the farmers, which can be done by avoiding the role of trading houses in   agricultural marketing to the extent possible and facilitating direct marketing by the agriculturists. Obviously, creation of farmers’ market (Uzhaver Sandhai) in large scale all over India may be an appropriate strategy.

In this connection, Nandini Voice for the Deprived is presently conducting a study to evolve appropriate recommendations.

Nandini Voice For The Deprived invites suggestions from all concerned about the strategies and recommendations. The consensus view amongst the cross section of country men, emerging out of the consultative process and study would be forwarded to Prime Minister, all Chief Ministers and other appropriate bodies for their consideration.

Those interested may forward their suggestions on or before 10th January,2016 with maximum of 200 words, written in English or Tamil and send the same to the following address either by email or by post.
