THE IMMACULATE Pongal celebrations 2017-A tribute to nature & agriculturists
The staff and students of THE IMMACULATE celebrated ‘Pongal’ –The Harvest Festival of Tamil Nadu, on 11th January 2017, as part of the age-old belief, that the month of ‘Thai’ is the harbinger of goodwill, fortune, peace and harmony.
The students drew a beautiful Rangoli with vibrant colours and the traditional earthen pot brimming with pongal, at the entrance, to usher in the spirit of well being & prosperity .Rice with jaggery and ghee,was boiled in an earthen pot, as a mark of gratitude,respect and consecration to ‘Surya’-the SUN GOD for providing light, fresh air and energy, for agriculture.
The staff and students dedicated a gratuitous paean, for the agriculturists and cattle, commemorating their efforts, in battling with and triumphing over several natural disasters,like floods,famine,cyclones,Tsunami and even dry and parched land, inorder, to provide humanity with the basic necessities like food &clothing. The occasion was also observed as a tribute to Mother Nature, for blessing the planet with abundant greenery & water.
THE IMMACULATE centre was founded in 2005. The institute provides English Language coaching, English fluency skills, soft skills,children’s programs,summer camps,IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, BEC, SAT, GRE & GMAT,CAT,XAT coaching.
