RISHS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL @ Mangadu, Chennai
The grand inauguration of the sprawling campus with its magnificent infrastructure was held on the 5th of February, 2018 with pomp and grandeur. The Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Banwarilal Purohit was the Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony. He was given a ceremonious welcome with the roaring beats of our traditional Periya Melam accompanied by the highest reverence of Purna Kumbham by the priests.
The ribbon was cut marking the official inauguration of the institution. The Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Banwarilal Purohit was then led to the dais by the hosts, Thiru. N. Sakthivelu, Founder & Chairman of Rishs International School, Director, Tmt. R. Balambika and other dignitaries.
Dr. G. Viswanathan, Founder & Chancellor, VIT, Vellore was the Presiding Guest and the Guest of Honour was Thiru. Sankar Viswanathan, Vice-President, VIT, Vellore. The dais was also shared by other honourable dignitaries who were instrumental in bringing this wonderful moment possible for all Rishians. They include Thiru. B.Krishnamoorthy, Executive Director, IOFS, Indian Ports Association, New Delhi, Thiru. N. Karthikeyan, General Manager, Indian Bank, Chennai (North) and Thiru. Devi Ubayogi Madurai Pu Muthuswamigal, Thiruvadisulam, Shri Karumariamman Allaya Ksthapagar.
The Program started with invocation songs by the students followed by a splendid dance by the young danseuses of Rishs. The audience was greeted by our Chairman, Thiru. N.Sakthivelu and Mrs. Uma N. Murthy, the Principal of Rishs International School.
The dignitaries were honoured with mementos by our Chairman and Director. The Kuthuvilaku was lit by the honourable dignitaries and a plaque commemorating the grand opening of Rishs International School was unveiled by the Chief Guest for the day, Thiru. Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu.
The keynote address was given by Thiru. B. Krishnamoorhty, Executive Director, IOFS, Indian Ports Association. He emphasized on the importance of giving quality education to the community. This was followed by the presidential address by Dr. G.Viswanathan, Founder & Chancellor, VIT, Vellore. He spoke about the hassles in bringing about the standards in school education and requested the authorities to liberate the norms in setting up world class institutions. The students and teacher who had achieved overall grades for best performance were felicitated by the Vice –President of VIT, Vellore, the Guest of Honour, Thiru. Sankar Viswanathan.
The Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Banwarilal Purohit then addressed the gathering sharing wonderful anecdotes from his own schooling experience and stressed on the importance of time management, honesty and character building that happens only in the premises of a school campus. He emphasized the importance of imbibing cultural values and endorsed the significance of reviving our Vedic culture.
The programme came to a close with vote of thanks by the Vice-Principal Tmt. Brindha Thiagarajan and our school choir singing the National Anthem.
The celebrations galore in the evening as thousands thronged the campus of Rishs International School.
A spectacular musical and entertainment programme was organized to mark the official launch of Rishs International School. The popular singers of Vijay TV fame, Mr. Koushik, Ms. Soundarya and Ms. Anu rocked the show and got the young and the young at heart on the dance floor by their sterling performance. Ms. Nisha and Mr. Palani the comedy duo had the audience in splits by their flawless humour. Their every action and every expression was laced with humour. The enthralling performances made the day a memorable and a cherish able one for all the Rishians.
