Virugambakkam , Jaigopal  Garodia Govt.  School  Girl  set a National Record in  the 100m hurdles 

 

• M. THABITHA of Standard  IX  , JaiGopal  Garodia  Govt. Girls  Hr. Sec. School, Virugambakkam,  has  set a national record in the 100m hurdles  held at Visakhapatnam and won the gold medal .  She clocked 15.37 seconds in the 100m hurdles to better Delhi`s Shivangi  Rawat`s timing of 15.68 seconds set in  2014.   When she was interviewed she expressed that the credit goes  to her  Headmistress  Dr. Shashi Swaran Singh,  Physical Education teachers of her school, her coach and  her Parents.
