T. Nagar Exnora Innovators Club conducted a very urgent meeting to discuss about the various issues and inconvenience caused due to the debris caused by fallen trees at T. Nagar.

T.Nagar Exnora Innovators Club conducted a very urgent meeting to discuss about the various issues and inconvenience caused due to the debris caused by fallen trees on 15.12.2016 at Sarathi Street, T. Nagar.   office bearers of T. Nagar Exnora Innovators Club and Civic Exnora units in various streets in T. Nagar  participated in the meeting.

At that time T. Nagar Exnora Innovators Club appreciated the precautions taken by the Corporation of Chennai and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and so many losses of life and also damages to private properties are very much reduced because of the cautions announced by the Corporation of Chennai and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.   Corporation workers temporary cleared the debris caused due to the fallen trees and also the T.N.E.B. authorities worked day and night to restore the power supply. T. Nagar Exnora Innovators Club appreciated their immediate response.




In the meeting R. Govindaraj, General Sectary, T. Nagar Exnora  Innovators Club while appreciating the immediate response by Corporation workers and T.N.E.B. Staff after Vardha Cyclone, he also pointed out that in T. Nagar and its sorrroundings ( West Mambalam, Kodambakkam,Ashok Nagar and C I T Nagar) alone more than 1000 trees had fallen and also trees in Panagal Park, Natesan Park,  Jeeva Park  and Sharma Park had fallen damaging the compound wall nearby streets and also walkers path and they were permanently closed and insisted that immediate action to be taken by Corporation of Chennai at least to clear the walkers path so that walkers can use it daily.

He also insisted to prune the trees so that the roads and pavements have clear vision for the vehicles and pedestrians.  He also insisted that all the fallen cable wires to be cleared immediately.  He assured the residents that representation by way of petition will be given to the Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai to take immediate action and put more corporation workers to clear the debris caused due to fallen of trees.

He also suggested that since the T. Nagar area is highly air polluted and more over the T. Nagar also lost the greenery due to the cyclone.  It is advisable to take immediate action to plant more trees immediately after clearing the debris within two months in order to restore the greenery and he also suggested in respect to the existing trees in T. Nagar area at least in order to save the existing trees to make spaces on the platform so that the water will be easily assessable to the roots.  Due to the debris caused by fallen trees and branches in some streets it is difficult for the big garbage vehicles to enter and remove the garbages.  So it is advisable to remove the garbages in the garbage bins immediately in order to avoid spread of deceases.




In Mambalam High Road and North Usman Road,(Chari Street,Vivekanantha Street, Ramakrishna Street, Thyaraya Gramani Street) and  the street lights are not burning and that has to be attended immediately.  At least temporary connection to be given to the Street lights to restore the power. The fallen lamp post to be removed immediately.

Requested the Corporation of Chennai to take various steps like conducting health camps in each and every street and also puring bleaching power on Streets, to avoid spreading of deceases due to the debris caused by Vardha Cyclone.

Sridharan, President T. Nagar Innovators Club insisted Corporation of Chennai to purchase equipments like Hacksaw-Blade so that the debris will be cleared in fast manner.  In most of the trees the branches are not removed and immediate action to be taken and more workers to be procured to remove these fallen branches immediately. If the proper space is not given around the trees for the existing trees in the Platform the root will loose its grip.

Office bearers of Civic Exnora units in various streets in T. Nagar  participated in the meeting  and discussed the  problems in their locality, such as bad.

R.Govindaraj,President, Exnora GreaterChennai,said,that  Exnora  will take up the grievances with the Minister for Local Administration, Commissioner of Chennai Corporation and  Electricity Board Higher officials  and arrange to remedy the situation.
