Precious moments of Christmas Celebration

Christmas the season of joy, freshness, devotion, prayer, sharing of love and affection is a wonderful time for the Special needs children of Arvind Foundation.

The whole of this festive season, the students and staff take time to make decoration for the Christmas tree, set a crib made indigenously with materials locally available. The whole preparation is a healing process for the Special Needs children as the meticulous, systematic, rhythmic preparation calms them down to a great extent. The hyperactive child, the autistic boy, the ever friendly and helpful down’s syndrome girl all work in unison happily helping accomplish the task at hand based on their capabilities.

Christmas and New year thus is a special season of gaiety, fun, dance, songs and the Special Needs students of Arvind Foundation across its 6 centers (2 centers at K.K Nagar, 1 in Porur, 1 in Kollapenchery, 1 in Chengalpet and 1 in Mannavanur) enjoy and savor it till the advent of the next season. The Children themselves do the dress of Santa Claus and dance distributing gifts to their fellow classmates. They learn to share the gifts to love one another.
