New President assumes office at Rotary Club of United Chennai
On 6th of July, 2019, Rtn.Suresh Manoharan assumes his office as President of Rotary Club of United Chennai. At a formal event held at Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, Charter member of the club and Past District Rotaract Representative during Rotary year 2010-11 Rtn.Suresh Manoharan becomes President 2019-20 of the club. He has several accolades in his Rotaract period such as Star of Rotaract Award in 2004-05 during his studies in New College, Best Joint Secretary Award and was District Sergeant-at-Arms. He became the first Vice President of Rotaract Club of Chennai and co-chaired the Chennai Marathon.
He was instrumental in starting a fundraiser project “Glitzz” at Rotaract Club of Chennai and has several contributions in his kitty as Conference Secretary, Zonal Rotaract Representative,Zonal Coordinator and Zonal Convention Chairman. Rtn.Suresh Manoharan is now has become 5th President of Rotary Club of United Chennai and Founder Managing Director of Metro Prints – a leading Printing solutions company in Chennai which takes large commercial printing projects from organisations. During the Inspiring Year 2018-19 he handled Director Community Services Health position and was Treasurer during the Charter Year 2015. Rtn.Suresh Manoharan’s family comprises of Ann.Manjula Devi and Annette.Master Paresh Dev.
In the formal Installation function at Marriott Chennai, the Chief Guest was Past District Governor (Rotary) Rtn.ISAK Nazar, Founder Managing Director of Manna Foods and Assistant Governor Rtn.Selva and Regional Secretary Rtn.Amizhdu and Guest of Honor was Rtn.Arul Anthony Joseph, Managing Director of Unicorn Maritimes (India) Private Ltd. Rtn.M.C.Karthick *Founde rof SreeGo Mineral Water) and Rtn.Murugan Paramaguru (senior L&T staff member) has been appointed as Secretary & Treasurer respectively. Rtn.Maghesh Kumaragurubaran (Founder MD of Seashell Marine Pvt Ltd) has been appointed as Club Service Director.
Immediate Past President Rtn.Sreehari Abhilash, Past President Rtn.Imthiyas Basha and several other rotarians from Rotary International District 3232 and family members wished Rtn.Suresh a wonderful year ahead. PDG Rtn.ISAK Nazar congratulated both outgoing president and his team and welcomed Incoming president. Rtn.Vasumathi Marimuthu, a senior rotarian from the parent club Rotary Club of Madras Mount was present and appreciated the growth of the club and incoming President Rtn.Suresh Manoharan. Secretary Rtn.M.C.Karthick Krishnan shared the vote of thanks. Charter Members Rtn.Balaji Ilamparuthi, Rtn.David Raynell, Rtn.Mukesh Rajendran, Rtn.Chandramouli Ramakumar were Present. Rtn.Akilan Thirunavukka Arasu, the young and vibrant member in the club shared his experience. Capt.Rtn.Dharmaraj Venkadesh Kumar and Rtn.Abilash Ramalingam has been inducted into the club, the same evening.
