“EAC at MNMJEC”
Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) was organized by the Department of Management Studies (DOMS) at Misrimal Navajee Munoth Jain Engineering College (MNMJEC) sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) Under DST-NIMAT from 17th February to 19th February 2016. The basic objective of the programme is to create Techno-Entrepreneurs and to motivate and inspire the youth to become entrepreneurs.
Sixteen colleges including MNMJEC participated in this 3-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp. The camp was attended by 103 students from Engineering and Science background. Inaugural function of the EAC was held on 17th February with the lighting of Kuthuvizhaku by the Principal of the college, Dr.Chandrasekar Christopher. Dr.Shanthi Nachiappan, HOD MBA, welcomed the gathering. The Principal delivered the keynote address. The Vice-Principal Dr.M.D.K.Kumaraswamy delivered a special address. On 18th February 2016, an industrial visit was organized to “Times of India Pvt.” and students learnt about the printing of newspaper.
Valedictory function of the EAC was held on 19th Feb 2016. The Guest for the valedictory were Mrs. Rekha Vaidhyanathan & Mrs. Archana Tulsian Certificates were distributed to all the participants by the guests. The programme was rated as highly useful by the young Engineers and Science students. Mr.S.M.Siva Shankar, Asst.Prof., MBA., proposed the vote of thanks. The students have understood. “Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t”.
